Skid Steer Mulcher
AR Equipment skid steer mulchers are built with three key features: a durable frame, a balanced rotor, and a high-performance bent axis piston motor. The bite limiter rotor which features a double helix for standard flow and a triple helix for high flow is crucial for handling Australia’s harder timber. With our extensive experience in land clearing and vegetation management, we have created mulchers that effectively compete with European models while being tailored for the Australian market and environment.

AR Equipment skid steer mulchers were designed with three key factors in mind: a robust and high-quality frame, a well-balanced rotor, and a top-performing bent axis piston motor tailored for the application.
We intentionally exclude unnecessary elements, such as variable displacement motors, because mulchers generally require as much oil flow as the machine can create, and rotor rpm adjustments can be made with a flow control valve if needed instead, which is far more cost-effective. This design approach not only reduces manufacturing costs but also results in a durable and reliable mulching head with impressive power output.
The bite limiter rotor features a double helix for standard flow and a triple helix for high flow. These bite limiter rotors are essential for handling Australian timber, which is significantly harder than that found in America or Europe; without them, the mulching head would struggle considerably more.
AR’s lead designer and head fitter possess extensive experience in land clearing and vegetation management, giving them a deep understanding of the challenging environments in which these mulchers operate. This expertise has contributed to the development of mulchers that are serious competitors to any European models, yet specifically designed for the Australian market.
