AR Equipment has its own design flail mower with a swing hammer design, rather than a fixed rotor.
The flail mower as opposed to a flail mulcher gives a better finish while being able to absorb impacts better when hitting rock and harder materials as the blade/hammer is able to swing away.
The smaller class excavators are best suited for this style given the limited oil flow and reach, which makes them ideal for steep terrain mowing, and clearing of properties with lantana and brush.
This flail has the capability of shredding timber up to around 50mm (more for rotted debris) while providing a good finish in grass areas.
The top bolt pattern on the flail body allows for the pick ears to be moved up and down the rail to adjust for weight distribution on small 3 ton class machines and end mount for 5-8ton class, allowing the 1 model to be able to run from 3-8ton class.
The flail comes with hoses and couplers included and we can say through our own testing, this flail is a solid design with great capability.
